  • Cute place, great main courses, so-so service

It took forever for my wife and I to be seated. It took even longer for us to get water and bread. But once that mess was out of the way, we enjoyed our friendly waitress and most of our food. They were out of the one appetizer I was really looking forward to getting, so I ordered some shrimp appetizer, which was too seafoody tasting and too salty. My wife got a salad with nuts and blu cheese (as part of her Prix Fixe), which she loved. For our main courses we got a crab cake dish and beef tenderloin (for me). We loved both and left no trace of either on our plates. Tenderloin was done just right (medium) and was very juicy, tender, and tasty. For desert my wife got a chocolate torte, which was very tiny and too cold. I got sauted berries with vanilla ice cream, which basically tasted like they microwaved a bag of frozen berries and poured over Bryers ice cream. The deserts were tasty, but not too impressive. The main courses were the highlights for us and we wouldn't have changed anything about them.. well, perhaps make the filet bigger. :) The place inside is very cute and if you ask for their "most romantic" table, (when available) you'll get seated at a very nice spot by the window with lots of pillows around. They actually paid attention to the special request that was included with the OpenTable reservation, so thumbs up for that!
