Oishi

A very popular and trendy sushi place in Newtown, Oishi (meaning "delicious" in Japanese) prides itself on freshness and taste bud-stimulating sauces. Located near Pier 1 and Dolce Carini, Oishi offers a variety of Japanese, Korean and Thai cuisine, as well as a hibachi grill. Don't forget to bring a bottle of wine with you.

    Very nice selection of Sushi and with top quality. One of the best Sushi places I have eaten at recently and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

    The title says it all pretty much. There's another sushi place called Ota-Ya in Newtown, which sucks compared to Oishi – this place is tastier, cheaper, and you get more for the money. My favorite thing to get there is the Spicy Crunchy California roll, accompanied by a miso soup and a bottle of red.
