Green Parrot
If you're a local, you remember Goodnoe's. While that's gone, Green Parrot (among others) sprung up in its
place. Green Parrot features an upscale-casual atmosphere with a full upscale menu
(presented by Executive Chef Rick Narasaki of Trump Plaza's EVO fame) and a full bar.
The restaurant/pub prides itself on using its wood-fired oven to cook pizza, as
well as steaks, chicken and ribs.

We took my mother to the Green Parrot a couple of weekends ago on a Sunday night. My mom's burger was huge (great portion size) but the bun fell apart after just 2 bites. I had the Shrimp and Crab pasta which was wonderful. We ordered the brownie sundae for dessert, and it was not very good (in my mind, the brownie should have been warmed and then drizzled with chocolate or another complimentary sauce and neither was done). I had the creme brulee on another visit and I agree with the previous post, it wasn't the best I've ever had (the sugar crust wasn't very crusty) but the custard was prety good. We do enjoy their wine list and beer selection, so we will return again...but we'll have dessert a few doors down at Sweet Pea!

The menu selection is good. The food is pretty good. The fries were amazing, but the crème brûlée was... ehh - I've had better and I've had worse. Overall it was a decent dining experience, but I can't honestly say I was very impressed with anything in particular (besides fries).
This place tries to be Isaac Newton's, only bigger and better. But I think they fall short of that. Isaac's is still the place to go for a rich beer selection and tasty food. And yes, there's an outdoor deck, but it's not very impressive - a slab of cement with two walls and a roof (not really what I'd call an outdoor patio).

Aside from 5 Guys or Cheeburger Cheeburger, this was by far the best burger I've had in a while. Cooked perfectly to order (med-rare) and plenty of fixings was just what the menu described! Prices are in-line with what you would expect at place like this and don't mind paying because the place does not disappoint! Excellent beer selection, could argue on a couple of the prices but can't complain about $2.75 drafts on domestic favorites! After an awesome meal, finish it off with some Tiramisu!
